United VARS celebrates 11 Years at its 2017 Annual Meeting in Walldorf
United VARS is an alliance of partners in 80 countries, working together to support customer projects. More than 100 participants from 40 countries attended the 11th Annual Meeting.
The agenda included presentations on the latest developments at SAP and United VARs and SAP presentations from Rodolpho Cardenuto, President Global Partner Operations and Hernan Marino, SVP and COO Marketing.
Addressing the VAR partners in his keynote Stefan Hoechbauer, President of SAP Middle & Eastern Europe , helped kick off the event representing 40 VAR partners. The program ran 24-27 April in Walldorf, involving partners who play an essential role at extending the SAP footprint. In 2016, the United VARs brought in 140 SAP S/4HANA projects and added 860 net new names (NNNs) to the SAP customer base.
Stefan confirmed that SAP is working to better position itself as an innovation player, offering customers guidance for their digital transformation. Looking to the audience, he outlined that SAP is looking to its partners to help with several areas. “Position with SAP products and solutions within the context of what we offer today – it all starts with the platform.”
He asked partner to help in three areas:
1. SAP S/4HANA adoption – leading customers to this important offering, which is the core to realizing their digital strategy
2. Lead with cloud – cloud adoption is accelerating around the world
3. Utilize SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud for new business

The list of this year’s SAP HANA Innovation Award winners. The 2017 participation was overwhelmingly successful with a total of 150 entries. Compelling examples of world-class innovation from 24 countries and across 26 industries made for tough competition and the judging scores were incredibly close.

Congratulations to Partners RW Consulting (Italy) and Envoy Digital (UK)
The results are in and the winners announced: Congratulations to RW Consulting and Envoy Digital, both of whom scooped first prize in the Q1 2017 Partner Excellence Awards.
RW Consulting took the top spot in the Innovation category, while Envoy was crowned Top New Sell partner. Both were able to demonstrate the adoption of SAP solutions, deploying them to secure new business opportunities and to drive pipeline growth.
In the case of Italy-based RW Consulting, the partner has focused on introducing the cloud-based SAP Roambi Analytics mobile app, creating dashboards for customers that connect a variety of data and, ultimately, reduce project delivery times and costs.

UK-based Envoy Digital was chosen for its innovative use of the assisted service module for SAP Hybris Commerce. The e-commerce expert has created an omnichannel solution for a leading British retailer, allowing it to unify both the online and in-store shopping experience.
